A ship’s cat did many good things 

for sailors, especially on a long voyage.

배고양이는 선원들을 위해서 

많은 일들을 해,

Sailors often felt lonely 

during long voyages, 

so they welcomed a ship’s cat.

선원들은 종종 긴 항해 동안에

It also kept rats away from the ship.

Churchill was on that ship.

to meet U.S. President 

Franklin D. Roosevelt.

그는 미국의 대통령이었던 

프랭클린 루즈벨트를 만나기 위해 

비밀장소로 가던 중이었어.

★Blackie tried to get off the ship 

with Churchill, but Churchill touched 

his head to stop him.

Blackie는 처칠과 함께 배에서 

내리려고 애썼지만, 

처칠은 그를 저지하려고 머리를 만졌어.

Someone took a picture of that moment.

누군가가 그 순간을 사진으로 찍었어.

The picture became famous, 

and people gave Blackie a new name, 

Churchill.

그 사진은 유명해졌고, 

사람들은 Blackie에게 

새로운 이름인 처칠이라는 

이름을 지어주었어.
